Thermal Imaging & Diagnostics
Infrared survey to locate temperature anomalies that warrant further investigation.
Infrared imaging is used as a diagnostic aid, typically alongside pressure testing. Scanning under a pressure differential reveals thermal anomalies consistent with insulation voids, moisture, thermal bridging, or air leakage pathways that are not visible during a standard walk-through.
Typical Scope
- Envelope scanning under induced pressure differential
- Insulation continuity and thermal bridging review
- Air leakage pathway identification at transitions and penetrations
- Mechanical and distribution scanning where access allows
- Annotated imagery paired with ambient and delta-T conditions
Deliverable
Annotated infrared and visible-light image pairs with observed conditions and recommended areas for further investigation.
Where It Applies
Added to envelope or duct testing when a leakage source or thermal defect needs to be located.
